WHAT TO RECYCLE & HOW

A material guide is a simple tool that helps you understand which materials—like cardboard, plastic, paper, and metal—can be collected for recycling. It also explains how to prepare each item correctly before drop-off, so you don’t waste time or effort on materials that may be rejected at the depot.

Through our Invest in Dignity® Foundation, we empower women in disadvantaged communities to become recycling entrepreneurs!

Women are remunerated to collect, sort and grade clean waste for recycling into various products including drawstring refuse bags, enabling them to feed, clothe and educate their families in the process.

To date, the Invest in Dignity® Foundation  has made a sizable impact in creating an enabling environment for women from disadvantaged backgrounds to earn a dignified living as self-employed “green entrepreneurs”. Many have also been empowered to form their own micro-enterprises in the recycling economy, paying it forward by employing others.

ADOPT A RIVER

Adopt a River is an innovative project aimed at fostering awareness and responsibility for river health in South Africa. This initiative addresses the disconnect between scientific understanding and community engagement in managing natural resources. By providing educational tools, Adopt a River empowers communities to take ownership of their local ecosystems, promoting active participation in conservation efforts. Our support comes in the form of refuse bags, which are essential for community clean-ups, helping to maintain the cleanliness and health of these vital waterways.
