Chicken à la King

INGREDIENTS

Time: 35 minutes

  • 2 chicken breasts, diced

  • 1 onion, diced

  • 1 red bell pepper, diced

  • 1 green bell pepper, diced

  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup chicken broth

  • 1 cup heavy cream 2 tbsp flour

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Cooked spaghetti or linguine

METHOD

  • Cook the Pasta: Cook the spaghetti or linguine according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  • Prepare the Chicken: Dice Chicken breasts and store in Supa Mama Freezer Bags for food protection. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced chicken breasts and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside

  • Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms. Sauté until the vegetables are tender, about 5-6 minutes. Sprinkle flour over the vegetables and cook, stirring constantly, for 1-2 minutes.

  • Combine Ingredients: Gradually whisk in chicken broth and milk, stirring until smooth. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook until thickened, about 5 minutes. Stir in cooked chicken and mushrooms. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika to taste.

  • Serve: Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet with the chicken and sauce.

  • Serve the Chicken à la King Pasta hot, garnished with chopped parsley or grated Parmesan cheese if desired. Enjoy your delicious and comforting meal!
